What You'll Need for the Scrapbook Project

Before beginning the scrapbook project, read down the list of requirements and think about what you can use. Many of the media you need you can acquire very cheaply - before I did this exercise myself, I walked around a mall and picked up flyers from every store. Combined with a couple of old magazines, a box of stickers and some colored pencils, I was good to go!

You will need:
  • 1 scrapbook for you, and one for your partner.
  • Two colour copies of the headings (or you can write the headings if you do not have a printer) Headings will be posted this week. Links will be placed in this post when they're up
  • Glue, like a glue stick or Kids Paste, and sellotape
  • Coloured crayons, or coloured pencils. You can use felts, but these will soak through most scrapbook papers so are not recommended.
  • Scissors.
  • Media you will use in your scrapbook project. Think of things which are important to you, AND things which you particularly dislike, and try to include pictures of these things in your materials.
Examples of some media you might use:
  • Magazines
  • Photographs
  • Stickers
  • Newspapers
  • Packages eg candy wrappers, boxes etc
  • Advertising flyers
  • Coloured paper
  • Ribbons, lace, buttons
  • Dried flowers
  • Old calendars
  • Toothpicks
  • Pipecleaners
  • Feathers
  • Shells
  • Glitter
Timeframe
Set aside 4 hours. The Scrapbook Project should take around 4 hours to complete. It does not all have to be done at once, but it should be completed in under a week.
